14, 1995
The Tuesday, November 14th meeting of the
Rocky Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG)
will feature a presentation on "Using the
Internet in your Job Search". We will have
three panelists that will present their
point of view how one can use the the Internet
to land that elusive job! ;-) Each will
share their personal story, and we will
then have a question/answer session.

10, 1995
The Tuesday, Oct 10th meeting of the Rocky
Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG) will
feature a presentation on "Using the Internet
to Find Information" by information consultants

12, 1995
The September 12th meeting of the Rocky
Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG) will
feature a panel of Internet Service Providers
(ISP's) in Colorado. These companies offer
individuals and businesses access to the
Internet worldwide computer network, similar
to the way phone companies offer telephone
connections. The panel will be discussing
service options, prices, and will answer
extensive questions from the audience.
August
8, 1995
The August 8th meeting of the Rocky Mountain
Internet Users Group (RMIUG) will feature
a panel of "Telecommuters." The panelists
will discuss their involvement with telecommuting,
both the positive and negative aspects.
The panelists will be from different sides
of telecommuting; a consultant helping companies
preparing to implement telecommuting, a
person currently implementing telecommuting
for his company, and three people who currently
telecommute on a regular basis.
July
11, 1995
The July 11th meeting of the Rocky Mountain
Internet Users Group (RMIUG) will feature
a presentation titled "Business As Usual:
A Surefire Path to Internet Oblivion" by
Christopher Locke, Editor and Publisher
of Net Editors from internetMCI. Mr. Locke
(clocke@panix.com) will roll out
his vision of business on the Internet and
how it fundamentally differs from traditional
business models.
June
20, 1995
The June 20th meeting of the Rocky Mountain
Internet Users Group (RMIUG) will feature
a presentation "The Future of the Internet"
by Cricket Liu (cricket@hp.com),
one of Hewlett Packard's Internet experts.
He will discuss the future of the Internet
-- including where the Internet is today,
what problems it is facing, and possible
scenarios for the growth and development
of the Internet.

9, 1995
The May 9th meeting of the Rocky Mountain
Internet Users Group (RMIUG) will feature
a presentation "Connecting to the Internet"
by popular Internet trainer and consultant
Art Smoot, of AES Consulting. This will
be an excellent meeting for those who are
new to the Internet, and for anyone trying
to understand the basics of connecting to
the Internet -- whether for home or business
use. Mr. Smoot will review and compare the
different types of Internet connections
along with the uses and benefits of each.
Factors such as ease of use, installation,
and costs from various Internet Service
Providers will be covered.
April
11, 1995
For the April 11th meeting
of the Rocky Mountain Internet Users Group
(RMIUG), we will feature a presentation
by Jim Ginsburg (ginsburg@gateway.meu.edu)
of Jones Interactive, a subsidiary of Jones
Intercable. His talk will be on the use
of cable television facilities for metro
area networks, and his company's Internet
access trials via cable.
March
14, 1995
For the March 14th meeting of the Rocky
Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG), we
are honored to host Colorado's own Phil
Zimmermann, the "notorious cryptographer",
who authored the world famous encryption
program, Pretty Good Privacy (PGP). Mr.
Zimmermann will speak on Cryptography and
Civic Hygiene: The role of cryptography
in a free society. He will describe his
work creating PGP and the ongoing investigation
of him by the US government.

14, 1995
Our February 14th meeting
will feature a panel of three experts who
will discuss the Employers' Perspective
in using the Internet for Job Placement.

10, 1995
We will be presenting a panel of Internet
providers. These providers will give a five
minute presentation covering various topics,
and will be asked questions from both the
moderator and the audience. |
