05/09/95 RMIUG Meeting - Connecting to the Internet

The May 9th meeting of the Rocky Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG) will feature a presentation "Connecting to the Internet" by popular Internet trainer and consultant Art Smoot, of AES Consulting. This will be an excellent meeting for those who are new to the Internet, and for anyone trying to understand the basics of connecting to the Internet -- whether for home or business use. Mr. Smoot will review and compare the different types of Internet connections along with the uses and benefits of each. Factors such as ease of use, installation, and costs from various Internet Service Providers will be covered.

The meeting is Tuesday, May 9th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm (with optional 6:30 pm start for informal networking and refreshments). The meeting will be held at The Department of Commerce (NIST) Building at 325 Broadway in Boulder, one traffic light South of Baseline. This facility holds 510 people. Park in the Dept. of Commerce lot, go in the main door (faces East), and ask the guard to point you to meeting, which is held in the main auditorium (just to the right of the main entrace). There is no cost for the meeting since Indra's Net is sponsoring the May meeting and covering the room charge.

Consultants and companies are invited to bring Internet-related product information, brochures, and business cards which will be displayed on an information table.
