- How will Colorado Compete in the Information
Age?
The Tuesday, January 14th meeting of the
Rocky Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG)
will feature a presentation by Al Kolwicz
called "Beyond The Browser - How will Colorado
Compete in the Information Age?" Mr. Kolwicz
(email 71722.1070@compuserve.com), the past
President of the Colorado Open Systems Consortium,
will describe a business-education-government
partnership that is being created in Colorado
to help the state keep pace as the rapid
evolution of technology changes our economy.
The Center for Interactive Multimedia Business
Applications will create the education and
commercial infrastructure needed to develop
and deploy customer-operated business applications
over high speed networks.
The meeting is Tuesday, January 14th from
7:00 - 9:00 pm (with optional 6:30 pm start
for informal networking and refreshments).
The meeting will be held at the Department
of Commerce (NIST) Building at 325 Broadway
in Boulder, one traffic light South of Baseline.
This facility holds 510 people. Park in
the Dept. of Commerce lot, go in the main
door (faces East), and find the main auditorium
just to the right of the main entrance.
The meeting is free and open to the public,
