The Tuesday, November 12th meeting of the
Rocky Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG)
will feature a panel discussion called "Search
Engine Optimization Demystified -- the Google
Dance, PageRank, Pay-Per-Click, Spiders
& other strange critters." Every
day, 150 million searches are done on Google.
How many of those find your website, products
and services? In addition, an NPD Group
study found that 55 percent of online purchases
were made on sites found through search
listings, while a mere 9 percent were on
sites found through banner ads.

Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG) will
feature a panel discussion called "Technology
and the Internet in Colorado Politics" Join
us as our panelists discuss how technology,
the Internet, web sites and email are figuring
into the current political landscape in
Colorado. As candidates, elected officials,
political parties and political activists
all rely more and more on technology to
achieve their goals, it's useful to get
a "behind-the-scenes" peek into what's really
happening and how the Net is changing the
rules. Our speakers will be Kenton D. Kuhn
(Founder and President of Intellinet Interactive)
and Anthony S. Martinez (a candidate for
Colorado Secretary of State).

panel promises to offer a fascinating glimpse
into the mostly unseen world of Internet
security and the cat-and-mouse battles between
hackers and system administrators. Our speakers
will be Trent Hein & Ned McClain from Applied
Trust Engineering and Robert Grey & Devid
Clements from Boulder Labs.
