The November 12th meeting of the Rocky Mountain
Internet Users Group (RMIUG) featured a
panel of Internet Service Providers (ISP's)
in Colorado. These companies offer individuals
and businesses access to the Internet worldwide
computer network, similar to the way phone
companies offer telephone connections. The
panel discussed service options, prices,
and will answered extensive questions from
the audience.

featured a panel discussion on a type of
high-speed digital Internet access, called
ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network).
The presentation was called "Everything
You Always Wanted To Know About ISDN...But
Were Afraid To Ask."

william@horton.com, to talk on "The
Good, the Bad and the Leading Edge in Web
Sites". Horton, a MIT graduate and registered
engineer, is a web consultant and author
in Boulder.

The Tuesday, July 9th meeting of the Rocky
Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG) featured
a panel of three speakers who discussed
Real Estate on the Internet in Colorado.
Each panelist talked for 15-20 minutes on
their particular topic, and then sat on
a Q&A panel.

The Tuesday, May 14th meeting of the Rocky
Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG) featured
a panel of three lawyers who discussed selected
legal aspects of the Internet.

The evening's speaker was Greg Ching (greg.ching@sun.com)
who works with SunSoft, the software subsidiary
of Sun MicroSystems. Greg discussed some
of the issues related to Internet Security,
where companies are interested in participating
in the Internet, but are concerned about
the risks associated with being online.

The Tuesday, March 12th meeting
of the Rocky Mountain Internet Users Group
(RMIUG) was a "Web-Fest" featuring a panel
that discussed strategic and business issues
of commerce on the World Wide Web.

The Tuesday, February 13 meeting of the
Rocky Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG)
featured a high-level presentation on a
new technology called Java that is profoundly
impacting the World Wide Web. Mr. Dean Rizzuto
(dean@xor.com), World Wide Web Developer
with XOR Network Engineering, presented
a non-technical overview of Java and how
it will affect the Internet and impact Web
users.
