The RMIUG jobs mailing list is a vehicle for Internet and computer related job postings in the Front Range of Colorado.

-- HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO POST OR SUBSCRIBE?
The list is free to all parties. It is run by the Rocky Mountain Internet Users Group (http://www.rmiug.org). RMIUG appreciates the ongoing support from our sponsors, ONEWARE (http://www.ONEWARE.com) and MicroStaff (http://www.microstaff.com).

Send your email posting to rmiug-jobs@yahoogroups.com following the guidelines in this FAQ. It will automatically be distributed to the list, which has thousand of subscribers.

-- HOW DO I SUBSCRIBE TO THE LIST?
Send a blank email to rmiug-jobs-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or visit the Yahoo Groups page for RMIUG jobs:

-- HOW DO I UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THE LIST?
Send a blank email to rmiug-jobs-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com or visit the Yahoo Groups page for RMIUG jobs: (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rmiug-jobs/) to unsubscribe.

-- CAN I POST A JOB TO RMIUG-JOBS FOR SOMEONE ELSE?
NO -- We've had numerous problems with third party postings and don't allow them. Please ask the company or hiring manager to post the job directly. The exception, of course, is recruiters - they are still allowed to post jobs on behalf of client companies.

-- CAN I INCLUDE ATTACHMENTS WITH MY POSTINGS?
NO -- attachments are not welcome as they consume bandwidth on both servers and client machines, generally cannot be opened by all subscribers and can carry computer viruses. Yahoogroups is also configured to prune attachments.

-- HOW MANY POSTINGS CAN I MAKE EACH WEEK?.
Recruiters are ask to post no more than 4 Emails per week to the list. If you need to post more than 4 jobs each week, please combine them into one posting to prevent excessive list traffic.

-- WHAT INFO BELONGS IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF A JOB POSTING?
Company location and job title.
Example: Boulder, Colorado - Jr. Cold Fusion Developer

-- IS RMIUG-JOBS A NATIONAL JOBS LIST FOR NATIONAL POSTINGS?
NO -- Postings should be for jobs located in Colorado, ONLY. All postings should be for Internet and computer related job postings.

-- CAN I INCLUDE HTML IN MY POSTINGS?
Plain ASCII text is preferred because it is most easily read by all subscribers.

-- IS THERE AN ARCHIVE OF PAST POSTINGS?
YES -- go to Yahoogroups Web Page and you can see all messages.

-- WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE LIST GETS SPAMMED?
In most cases, nothing. Past experience shows that most of the problem caused by Spam to the list comes from subscribers who write back to the list complaining about Spam. The complaints generate more complaints and unnecessary list traffic.

-- Do I have to have to register at YahooGroups to get RMIUG Email?
NO ... there is an "Email only" mode which allows you to get the Emails, but doesn't require you to register. Send a blank email to the appropriate address to subscribe to that list:
